Ellen Reesor

Instructor, Founder & Owner
She/Her/Hers

Ellen is a studio owner, and mindfulness facilitator by trade, but her true calling lies in helping students discover what makes them come alive. Ellen helps students unearth a deeper sense of meaning and purpose in their practice, ultimately driving them to integrate what they discover on their mats into their everyday lives off the mat.

Her first yoga class was at age 14, when she realized that up until that first savasana, she had never felt truly relaxed. Ellen fell in love with the way yoga made her feel and was instantly hooked. In exchange for free yoga, she volunteered cleaning as a teen at a local studio which eventually lead her to follow her curiosity and complete her:

+ 200hr Hatha Teacher Training
+ 500hr Modo Teacher Training
+ 100hr Modo Flow Training
+ 10 month Interdisciplinary Approach to Movement & Mindfulness Education Teacher Training and Mentorship program through Spirit Loft Movement Center
+ 10 Day silent Vipassana Meditation Course
+ 9 month meditation/precepts course studying with Poep Sa Frank Jude
+ ACSM Personal training course through Cuesta College
+ Four year ambassadorship program with Lululemon
+ Yoga Detour Method Training, combining yoga with modern movement and mobility
+ Psychology Degree at UBC Vancouver (in progress)

Ellen continues to distill the knowledge she learns and accumulates from her mentors into the KIND Yoga 250hr nature based YTT, in the hopes that what is generously shared with her will enrich and bring joy and freedom to the lives of her students.

Ellen is an eternal student and is constantly attending workshops and trainings to learn and grow. She’d love to get to know you at a class soon!

Hannah Sim

Instructor
She/Her/Hers

Hannah has always been a lover of movement. She grew up dancing until the age of 20, practicing yoga on the side, and then switched paths as her passion for yoga began to deepen. She began teaching in 2022 and is 500hr RYT Vinyasa and 50hr RYT Yin. Hannah’s playful spirit shines through in her teachings. In her class you can expect powerful feel good flows with mythology and mantra, and sequences that will get out of your mind and into your body.

Yoga has become my teacher allowing me to see more similarities between each other, rather than differences. These lessons come from years of travelling with a yoga mat strapped to my back, to living in the thriving city of Toronto, and now enjoying the natural beauty of Squamish.

My teaching comes from the heart, creating a safe and inclusive environment for communities to gather. I incorporate elements of Vinyasa and functional movement, layered on my foundation of Ashtanga yoga. Join me on the mat for dynamic, breath driven, fluid flows. Through the union of movement and breath, I aim to hold space for my students to find their path through yoga, on and off the mat.

Grace Williams

Instructor
She/Her/Hers

As a passionate yoga teacher, Grace finds solace and inspiration in the serene embrace of nature, particularly in the majestic allure of the mountains. This is where she feels most alive.

She did her 200hrs yoga teacher training in Sayulita Mexico, with a focus on Smart Flow Yoga. Grace leads dynamic flow style classes that harmonize breath, movement and mindfulness. She has a commitment to empowering students to explore their own bodies with compassion and show up with curiosity. In her experience, the more connected we become with our bodies, the more we are able to open up our hearts and our minds.

My yoga journey began in 2016, at a time when I felt lost and uncertain about what was next for me after returning home from living abroad. It was on the mat that I found grounding, peace, and clarity. I’ll never forget my first savasana—it was a profound release, as though stagnant emotions I had been holding in my body for years suddenly melted away. For the first time, I felt truly relaxed. Eager to deepen my practice, I started volunteering at a yoga studio, immersing myself in asana practice and the Yhot series at YYOGA. Over the years, yoga has become my anchor—a space of exploration, curiosity, and connection. I am a 250-hour trained yoga teacher, having completed my training with KIND Yoga. My teaching is rooted in intuition, curiosity, and lifelong learning. I aim to inspire students to embrace their individuality, find joy in the journey, and see themselves as perfect and capable just as they are. My ultimate goal is to create a class experience that is fun and empowering—helping students step out of their minds and into their bodies. Whether you're stepping onto the mat for the first time or the hundredth, I hope to provide a space where you feel welcome, supported, and free to explore. Outside of the studio, I’m a proud cat mom and product marketer who loves to hold space for creativity, mindfulness & meditation, and self-development.

The practices of yoga and meditation have gifted me with the space and awareness to fall into the most powerful, gentle, compassionate version of myself. Over the past 15 years of dedicated practice, I have learned to see and love all aspects of my body, mind and spirit. Sharing this experience with others fuelled my decision to teach yoga.

I completed my 200 hr yoga teacher training at the Gayatri School of Yoga in the styles of Hatha and Vinyasa. This training opened a door to deeper knowledge, and since then I have embarked on a continuous development and learning process through my own daily practices and in my teaching.

My classes are built around a central theme to provide opportunity to pause and reflect on our shared experiences; and to connect through body, mind and spirit. Synching breath with movement, we move dynamically together, meditating on the emotional and physical sensations that arise as we contemplate our intentions.

Outside of the yoga studio I am also an educator. My mission as an educator both in the classroom and yoga studio is to create a space and community which enables each student to powerfully and authentically reach their fullest potential. I teach all of my students to live compassionately and in harmony with themselves, one another, and their environments. I believe that through the disciplined practices of yoga and meditation, we can begin to see the interconnectedness of life and our vital role within it.

I believe when our minds and bodies are in harmony, we’re able to pursue our passions and purpose with ease and joy. I hope that by offering what I have in my heart and what I have learned along my path to others, I can help each person I encounter on their own unique journey.

My yoga practice focuses on three main pillars: curiosity, playfulness and kindness. Being curious about oneself and the universe around us… Approaching life with a sense of playfulness, joy, and light-heartedness… and spreading metta or loving-kindness - in thoughts, in words, and in actions.

I first started practising yoga in 2008 in my hometown of Windsor, Ontario. From my background in dance, I quickly fell in love with the flowing nature of vinyasa yoga and the effects that a physical asana practice had on my state of mind. This was also the first time that I started to feel truly at home and accepting of my body. While exploring my career in engineering and living abroad, I found that my practice was the one thing that could always anchor me in the present moment, no matter where I was or what kind of turbulence was coming up in my life. In 2016, I took the next big step on my path and returned home to complete my 200 hr teacher training in the styles of Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow, and Yin Yoga. Since then, I’ve been lucky to teach and practice in the beautiful communities of Yoga Loft Windsor, Modo Yoga Squamish, Breathe Fitness Studios, and now Kind Yoga Squamish.

When not practising or teaching yoga, you can find me playing in the mountains, forest bathing, reading giant books, or dancing to live music!

Lindi Joy Theron

Instructor
She/Her/Hers

Life often guides us through subtle whispers. For Lindi-Joy, these whispers became louder after 40 years around the sun. Having spent much of her earlier life as a dancer, Lindi-Joy has always understood the profound impact movement has on our overall well-being. It was right here at Kind Yoga, nestled amongst the trees and in the quiet, that Lindi-Joy deepened her yoga practice and rediscovered her joy. Yoga became her way to connect mind, body, and breath – a connection she loves to share with her students, hoping they too can explore its gifts. Through her own journey, Lindi-Joy has seen how this connection heals, reveals our true selves, and helps us gently explore our edges, on and off the mat. Lindi-Joy is thrilled to share this journey with the Kind Yoga community, inviting you to connect with your true-self through mindful movement and breath in this magical space. Join her on your mats and come ignite that sense of joy through movement.

Mountains and movement are my home, where I feel the most alive and in flow. I worked as a snowboard instructor, chasing back-to-back winters between Japan, New Zealand and Canada for almost a decade.

This is how I discovered yoga. The poses, the asanas, are a way for me to slow down, observe what my body needs to heal and get stronger for the mountains. Over the years, my practice has deepened as I studied the benefits of yoga on mindfulness, mental focus and sports performance. I completed my 200h YTT in Guatemala learning the traditional teachings of Hatha Yoga before becoming a student of The Institute of Yoga Sport Science.

I am so excited for us to come together in nature to breathe, move and connect.
